How to use | picmi

picmi is a camera app where you and your friends pick photos to fill a grid, doodle on it, and complete a single keepsake photo. Here's how to get started.

picmi starts by signing in with Apple or Google. Signing in keeps your albums, purchases, and plan even after changing or reinstalling your device.

💡 When invited by a friend via QR code or link, you can join that album's editing without signing in (as a guest). Sign in later to carry over your participation and also add photos.

2. Add photos

Once you create an album, add photos: take one on the spot or import from your camera roll. Each photo pops into a cell of the grid. Drag to reorder cells.

3. About the grid

The grid lays out automatically based on the number of photos (2, 3, 4, 9, or 16). Up to 16 photos. Empty cells show as soft placeholders until the grid fills.

4. Invite friends

Filling one photo together is the heart of picmi. From the album's share button, send a QR code or invite link. Signed-in participants can add photos and doodle; QR/Web guests can only edit (doodle) and cannot add photos.

5. Doodle together

Add doodles on top of the photos: pen, text, emoji, stickers, AI edits, and more. Doodles sync in real time, so you can create with friends anywhere. You can't erase others' doodles; you can undo strokes you added.

6. About AI doodles

AI doodle lets AI draw illustrations or decorations to match your photo (for Premium). It uses your monthly credits; check your remaining count in Settings. Note: the target photo is sent to a generative-AI service — see the Privacy Policy.

7. Finish and export

Once the grid is full, export it as a single image to save and share. Clean Export: just the photos, for social media. Sticker Export: with a brand watermark and a join QR code, so friends who see it can jump in.

8. About plans

Shooting, the grid, collaborative editing, QR join, and export are all free, with no limit on albums or participants. Premium (monthly) unlocks all doodle tools, AI doodles (with monthly credits), full-resolution save/high-res export, and unlimited re-editing of old albums.

🗓️ On the free tier, original photos of an album with no activity for about 45 days after the last edit may be deleted (completed/exported images remain). We notify you about 7 days before.

9. Switching language

From Settings, switch between Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, and Indonesian.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. Once deleted, your account and related data cannot be restored.
